QSHE Manager
The QSHE Manager, with the support of the Distribution Centre Manager, will manage and be responsible for the implementation, ongoing maintenance of, and compliance to the management systems within their designated Branch for: quality, safety and health; environment; security. This compliance will be demonstrated through successful audit outcomes performed by National QSHE Department, corporate QSHE organization, customers audits, client audits, government and regulatory audits, and third-party registration audits to the various standards to which the company is certified.
What you will be doing as a QSHE Manager:
- Coordination of Training activities;
- Subject matter expertise for Quality, Safety, Health, Environment, and Security matters within the branch
- Performance of self-audits for compliance.
- Communication within the branch on relevant QSHE matters.
- Attend training and meetings from National QSHE team.
- Maintain an active and effective Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA) program (TIP) to include sufficient performance of Root Cause Analysis, and an ongoing review to determine the effectiveness of the corrective action.
- Responsible for TIPs issues from the branch and is responsible to close the TIPs.
- Run overdue TIP reports for follow up.
- Maintain document control and retention for all local forms, work instructions, profiles, customer SOPs through Qdocs.
- Maintain approved suppliers list, track and validate suppliers through supplier management tools; Maintain calibration records, reports and equipment within facility and customer equipment (temperature control when applied).
- Provide management with QSHE documentation related to new hires.
- Maintain QSHE training matrix and plan, training records and certificates.
- As required, maintain branch shared drive for all documents and records.
- Coach local management to reach, maintain and continuously improve QSHE standards within the branch.
- Provide QSHE topics for local management meetings and provide feedback on continuous improvement.
- Provide required documentation to support the annual management review meeting including attendance of key roles;
- Run BOXI reports for audit preparation.
- Perform periodic internal inspections to follow up completion of pending audit action items.
Health and Safety:
- Ensure the sub-set of responsibilities assigned to a JHSC "Safety Chair" working with the branch JHSC Safety Committee are in place for proper application of the Canada Health and Safety program.
Environment:
- Ensure the sub-set of responsibilities assigned to the Env Champion working with the branch are in place for proper application of the Canada Environmental program.
Security:
- Ensure the sub-set of responsibilities assigned to the Local Security Manager working with the branch are in place for proper application of the Canada Security program.
What you will need as a QSHE Manager:
- Minimum 3 years in a similar position;
- Working knowledge of QSHE Tools preferred (TIP Tool, Qdocs, Incident Reporting, Security Reporting Tools, Training Tools)
- Minimum Highschool or Technician degree, College degree in Business Discipline preferred
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 18001 and EN 9100 standards.
- Proficient MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrates strong networking and interpersonal skills and professionalism to deal with all levels of personnel
- Demonstrates ability developing and using relationships to facilitate accomplishment of goals
- Approachable, ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
