Account Manager (Outside Sales) – Vancouver, BC - Burnaby - Permanent

What You Will Be Doing, as an Account Manager:

  • Collaborating closely with branch customer sales to develop key opportunities and focusing on new and existing customers.
  • Connecting with and maintaining relationships through rapport building with all current and potential customers in the assigned territory and other areas upon request.
  • Monitoring sales in the office, including some inside sales activity.
  • Developing and maintaining effective work relationships internally and externally.
  • Reviewing existing pricing tiers and comparing them to competitors' offerings, initiating competitive pricing and cost analysis.
  • Regularly reviewing and adjusting pricing strategy, understanding customer behavior, and implementing strategic price changes to meet margin goals.
  • Quoting jobs for customers (under management guidelines), including determining material costs, submittals, estimating, providing material specifications, and pricing.

What You Should Have, as an Account Manager:

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of P&L and CRM systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and ERP systems.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Teamwork, multitasking, and leadership skills.
  • Physical demands may include: Moderate walking, standing, and/or climbing; light lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
  • Experience in the distribution and/or building and construction industry is preferred.
  • Ability to travel.

Work Environment: Office and warehouse/fabrication environment.

What You Will Receive as an Account Manager:

  • Base salary range of $85,000 - $100,000, with variables, uncapped.
  • Company cell phone
  • Benefits package

The Shift You Will Be Working is:

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm
