Our client is a leader in trailer rental, leasing, and maintenance solutions, they have an amazing reputation for their service. They are growing their team in Edmonton or Calgary area and are looking to hire a Mobile Reefer Technician. Experience working on both Thermo King and Carrier refrigeration units is a strong asset.

What You Will Be Doing, as a Mobile Reefer Technician:

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical systems, heating and refrigeration systems
• Repair and maintain company & customer equipment
• PM services for all units when required
• Assist with maintenance of the mobile service unit
• Inventory replenishment and control
• Perform customer service functions including diagnosis and recommendations, and provide advise on repairs and estimates for same where required
• Enter and update information via the maintenance tablet in real-time
• Operate mobile service truck and complete repairs in a safe manner at all times
• Other duties as required to support operations
• Complete work orders in a timely manner and report relevant issues to Manager

What You Should Have, as a Mobile Reefer Technician:

• Proven previous experience working on reefer/refrigerated trailers/transport refrigeration units
• Commercial Refrigeration Journeyman (or Red Seal) certification in Alberta certification OR Truck Mechanic license with HVAC/Refrigeration repair experience
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, HVAC components, electrical circuits, and control systems
• Experience working on Thermo King and Carrier refrigeration is a strong asset
• Must be able to work independently and engage in a team atmosphere
• Organized and self-motivated worker with great attention to detail
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract
• Ability to lift heavy parts up to 50 lbs on occasion
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, training documents and complete repair procedures in accordance with Ministry of Transportation repair requirements
