Framer / Carpenter (Temporary to Permanent)

About Our Client Our clients are leading construction and residential development companies operating throughout the Edmonton area. They are dedicated to high-quality craftsmanship and safety on every job site, ranging from new residential builds to commercial renovations.
What You Will Be Doing, as a Framer / Carpenter:
- Measuring, cutting, and shaping wood, plastic, and other materials.
- Constructing building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and architectural drawings to determine specifications.
- Inspecting and replacing damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
- Ensuring all work meets code requirements and safety standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Should Have, as a Framer / Carpenter:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar framing or carpentry role.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Own personal protective equipment (Steel-toed boots, hard hat, high-vis vest) and basic carpentry tools.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail.
- Good verbal communication.
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
In Return, You Will Receive:
- $25.00 - $30.00 per hour (Depending on experience)
- Paid weekly, every Friday.
- Opportunity for permanent hire.
- 9.6% vacation pay – accrued and paid out when you need it.
- Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 11pm and on weekends.
The Shift You Will be Working is:
- Monday to Friday
- Day Shift (Typically 7:00 AM start times)
- Overtime may be available depending on project deadlines.
Where You Will Be Working, as a Framer / Carpenter:
- Edmonton, AB (Various sites across the city)
- Access to a reliable vehicle is highly recommended as job sites are often not transit accessible.
