Cladding Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Cladding Project Manager who will play a crucial role in the Project Management leadership process. This position demands strong communication and technical skills with a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced Construction environment.

What you will be doing as a Cladding Project Manager:

  • Lead a Team of Project Coordinators and Drafters through the Construction Documentation and Contract Management process of executing a Project from start to finish.
  • Read, Interpret, and Decipher Architectural Drawings and Specifications. Generate and follow the Submittal process. Read, Interpret, Decipher, Generate, and act upon the RFI, SI, RCO, CD, and other standard Construction Documentation processes.
  • Interpret and understand Project Finances. Update and Forecast Project financial documents and Costs to Complete files.
  • Prepare and Manage SOV and Invoicing Documents.
  • Collaborate with Senior Management, Drafting and Design teams to ensure Shop Drawings meet the design intent and installation details.
  • Conduct professional meetings and collaborate with Clients, Project Teams, Site Supervisors and other key Team members.
  • Utilize a strong knowledge of Architectural Products and Cladding Systems.
  • Utilize strong verbal and written skills to communicate effectively with Clients, Consultants and Internal Teams.
  • Utilize strong negotiation principals and purchasing skills to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
  • Continuously strive to promote positive relationships, both internal and external.
  • Collaborate closely with production teams to optimize manufacturing processes and resolve technical issues.
  • Teach, mentor, and promote growth of Team members.

What you should have as a Cladding Project Manager:

  • Strong knowledge of Building Envelope Systems and Architectural Cladding Systems.
  • Strong knowledge and application of Construction Contracts, Scope of Work Management, and financial applications.
  • Knowledge of CAD software (including but not limited to AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and ability to read Blueprints and Engineered Drawings.
  • Proficiency in Hard Computer Skills, Excel, Power-Point, Microsoft Projects, Microsoft Software, PDF, Sketch-Up, etc.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g. AutoCAD AXYZ Panel Builder, Mastercam). This skill is valuable but not a hard requirement.
  • Excellent relational problem-solving skills and attention to details.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of collaborative team.
  • Working experience of programming 3-axis CNC machine in the past (AXYZ Panel Builder preferred).
  • Understanding of machining techniques, materials, and tooling. (preferred but not required)
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality.
  • Previous experience Managing Teams in Architectural Cladding, ACM cladding or similar high-profile Projects.
