Flat Deck Driver and Material Handler – Temporary

About Our Client

Our client is a supplier of construction material in the Winnipeg area that is growing and looking to add another driver to their fleet.

What You Will Be Doing, as a Flat Deck Driver and Material Handler

  • Delivery
  • Load and unload
  • Safe strapping procedures
  • Manual material handling with dollies and hand balming at customer locations
  • Lifting up to 50lbs
  • Some days are lighter days in which no deliveries are required, therefore on those days you will work in the yard prepping and sorting scaffolding for delivery
  • Working outdoors
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Should Have, as a Flat Deck Driver and Material Handler

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Valid Class 5 / G License
  • Attention to detail
  • Good verbal communication
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Must pass a criminal background check and provide a driver’s abstract

In Return, You Will Receive:

  • $20/hour
  • Paid weekly every Friday 1 week behind. Flexible work schedule – lots of overtime available
  • Opportunity for permanent hire
  • 4% vacation pay – accrued and paid out when you need it
  • Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 11pm and on weekends

The Shift You Will be Working is:

  • Monday To Friday
  • 6am – 2:30pm (½ hour unpaid lunch)

  • Navin, MB – just outside of Winnipeg
