About Our Client
Our client is a global leader in agricultural solutions, operating a specialized canola seed processing facility in Lethbridge. They are dedicated to innovation and reliability in seed cleaning, treating, and packaging to support the agricultural industry across Canada.
What You Will Be Doing, as a Millwright:
- You will be directly accountable to the Maintenance Supervisor for leveraging preventive maintenance and repairs of machinery and equipment within the facility.
- Perform essential maintenance for seed cleaning, treating, packaging, and bulk shipping/receiving areas.
- Utilize skilled experience to apply reliability procedures and principles as you gain independence in varied assignments.
- Assist in keeping equipment downtime to a minimum and completing work orders within established timelines to meet KPI success.
- Support the implementation of a safe, cost-effective, and quality maintenance program, including mechanical installations and repairs.
- Troubleshoot equipment in a high-paced environment to make timely repairs.
- Work within SAP work orders or similar systems to track and manage maintenance tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Should Have, as a Millwright:
- Journeyman Millwright – Canada Red Seal certification is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in a seed production facility or an industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of rotating and conveyance equipment, including compressors, legs, drags, and dust collection.
- Working knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, VFDs, and power distribution systems.
- Proficiency with software including Outlook, Excel, Word, and SAP.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and current First Aid certification.
- Certification for confined space, working at heights, and Arc Flash.
- Possession of basic tools required to perform daily tasks.
- Welding skills and the ability to follow technical instructions in English.
- Must pass a criminal background check and verify documentation (SIN, ID, Permits).
In Return, You Will Receive:
- Pay Rate: CAD 43.00/hr – CAD 50.00/hr.
- Paid weekly, every Friday.
- 4% vacation pay – accrued and paid out when you need it.
- Opportunity for permanent hire.
- Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday, 8 am to 11 pm, and on weekends.
The Shift You Will be Working is:
- Days: Monday through Friday.
- Time: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (10-hour shifts).
- Notes: 50 regular hours per week with a 30-minute lunch break
Where You Will Be Working, as a Millwright:
- Main Intersection: Near 62nd Ave North and 39th St North.
- Location Details: This facility is located in Lethbridge, AB. Please ensure you have reliable transportation to the site.
