Construction Laborer with Fall Protection (Temporary/Day Position)
About Our Client
Our client partners with leading construction and development companies across the Kamloops area. They are known for maintaining safe, efficient, and productive job sites and are looking for reliable individuals to join their teams for various upcoming projects.
What You Will Be Doing, as a General Laborer:
- Assisting with the handling and installation of cabinets on-site.
- Unloading cabinets from pallets and preparing them for placement.
- Working alongside operators using a boom lift / telehandler to move materials to the 6th floor.
- Transferring cabinets from balconies into residential units for installation.
- Following fall arrest / fall protection procedures at all times.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Supporting the installation team with general labour tasks as required.
What You Should Have, as a General Laborer:
- Previous experience in a construction or labor environment is an asset.
- Valid Fall Protection certification (required).
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights and following strict safety protocols.
- Full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): steel-toed boots, hard hat, and high-visibility vest.
- Good verbal communication and ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable, professional, and safety-focused.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
In Return, You Will Receive:
- $22.00 hour
- Paid weekly, every Friday.
- 4% vacation pay – accrued and paid out when you need it.
- Opportunity for permanent hire.
- Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 11pm and on weekends.
The Shift You Will be Working is:
- Monday to Friday
- Day Shifts (Typically 7:00 AM starts)
- Overtime may be available depending on project deadlines.
Where You Will Be Working, as a Construction Labour:
- Various sites across Kamloops BC
- While some sites are transit accessible, having your own vehicle is preferred to ensure access to all job sites.
