Machine Operator (Woodworker) – Temporary to Permanent
About Our Client
Our client is located in Kitchener, is the leader of cabinetry and custom woodwork in the area. They have been around for 25 years so if you are looking to grow and stay with a well-known employer, this is the one for you! If you have a minimum of 2 years’ experience with machine operation AND wood working, hand tools and pump trucks, please apply!
What You Will Be Doing, as a Machine Operator:
- Unloading, loading & wrapping skids and using a pump truck to maneuver them
- Operate a variety of small machinery in a wood shop environment
- Operate hand tools
- Assembly of wooden drawers as the finished result
- Operate a sanding machine (edge sander)
- Working in a dusty environment
- MUST be able to lift 50lbs consistently
What You Should Have, as a Machine Operator:
- 2 years wood working experience
- 1 year experience with a pump truck, moving skids in the facility
- CSA safety boots
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Positive attitude respectful and friendly communication, and a team player
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
In Return, You Will Receive:
- $19.00 per hour based on experience, plus 4% vacation pay accrued and paid out when requested
- Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
The Shift You Will be Working is:
- Day shift
- 7:00am to 3:30pm
