CNC Milling Operator – Temporary to Permanent

What You Will Be Doing, as a CNC Milling Operator:
  • Preparing the CNC milling machines by loading programs, setting tools, and securing raw materials.
  • Overseeing the machining process, adjusting feed, speed, and tool positions to ensure accuracy.
  • Measuring completed workpieces using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify they meet strict blueprints and tolerances.
  • Performing daily maintenance, such as cleaning, lubricating machines, and replacing worn tools.
  • Identifying production issues, such as tool wear or malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Recording completed production, material usage, and quality inspection results. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 
 
What You Should Have, as a CNC Milling Operator:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a CNC Milling role  
  • Must have experience with the following machines - Okuma and Matsuura (3, 4, and 5 axis), Zeiss CMMs, Mastercam CAD/CAM & Calypso GD&T software 
  • CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots/shoes
  • Ability to stand, bend, crouch, lift consistently
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs if needed
  • Great English communication skills
  • Commitment to the role 
 
In Return, You Will Receive:
  • $22.00 - $28.00 per hour + 4% accrued vacation pay
  • Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 11pm and on weekends
 
The Shift You Will be Working is:
  • Monday to Thursday
  • Friday’s off (unless required for OT, but prior notice would be given)
  • Afternoon shift
  • 2:00pm to 1:30am (not bus accessible, due to the schedule not running that early in the morning at the end of the shift)

  • Cambridge, ON
