Red Seal Electrician (Temporary to Permanent) 
About Our Client
Our client is an entrepreneurial and growing organization in Richmond, BC, specializing in commercial LED projects — from concept and design through to permitting, construction, and commissioning. Known for investing in their people and promoting from within, this is a hands-on role with real long-term potential for the right candidate.
What You Will Be Doing, as a Red Seal Electrician:
  • Support all technical aspects of commercial LED project delivery, from proposal through final commissioning
  • Maintain electrical production equipment and respond to breakdowns with urgency
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications
  • Install electrical cables and wiring using power and hand tools with precision
  • Update and log electrical changes per ESA-established standards; maintain accurate maintenance logs
  • Source or fabricate replacement electrical components as required
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems; prepare preventative maintenance plans
  • Obtain required permits, equipment, tools, and materials for projects
  • Guide and oversee apprentices or journeyman electricians on site
  • Liaise with clients and vendors; collaborate with team members and leadership
  • Update project records and prepare relevant documents and reports for clients
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Should Have, as a Red Seal Electrician:
  • Valid Red Seal Electrician certification (Interprovincial Certificate of Qualification)
  • Master Electrician Licence with strong working knowledge of Electrical Safety Authority standards
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an Electrician; manufacturing or signage industry experience is an asset
  • Completion of apprenticeship and technical school training
  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and BC regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications
  • Experience with power tools and construction equipment
  • Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs as required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work well under pressure
  • Firm grasp of health and safety codes; patient when mentoring apprentices
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Valid driver's licence required — clean driver's abstract mandatory
  • Must be able to work at heights
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions

In Return, You Will Receive:
  • $34.00 per hour
  • Paid weekly, week after on Fridays
  • 4% vacation pay — accrued and paid out when you need it
  • Opportunity for permanent hire with a reputable client
  • Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM and on weekends

The Shift You Will be Working is:
  • Monday to Friday
  • 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Overtime may be available based on project needs
