Installation Assistant / General Laborer (Temporary to Permanent)
About Our Client
Our client is a premier leader in the visual communications and signage industry. With a focus on high-quality production and installation, they manage a wide variety of projects ranging from street furniture to large-scale billboards across the region.
What You Will Be Doing, as an Installation Assistant / General Laborer :
- Assist with the transportation and installation of various signage, including vinyl, channel letters, and billboards.
- Load, secure, and transport signs, tools, and materials safely to and from various job sites.
- Prepare installation sites by removing old signage and preparing surfaces or structures.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop environment and ensure vehicles are kept in top condition.
- Utilize hand and power tools to perform maintenance and repairs on signs as needed.
- Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and complete required safety documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Should Have, as an Installation Assistant / General Laborer :
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role or a general construction background.
- Licensing: Must possess a valid driver’s license (Class 5) and provide a clean driving abstract.
- Physical Requirements: Physically fit and able to perform strenuous labor, including lifting and climbing.
- Height Safety: Must be comfortable and able to work at heights and operate aerial equipment.
- Weather Conditions: Ability and willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating various hand and power tools.
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
In Return, You Will Receive:
- Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour.
- Paid weekly, week after on Fridays
- Permanent Opportunity: This is a full-time, permanent position.
- Vacation Pay: 4% vacation pay accrued and paid out when you need it.
- Support: Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday (8am–11pm) and on weekends.
The Shift You Will be Working is:
- Days: Monday to Friday.
- Timing: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m..
- Flexibility: Must be flexible and willing to work overtime, evenings, or weekends as needed
Where You Will Be Working, as an Installation Assistant / General Laborer :
- Location: Calgary, Alberta.
- Accessibility: This is an on-site role requiring travel to various locations; a valid vehicle and driver's license are required.
