Millwright – Permanent
What You Will Be Doing, as a Millwright:
  • Work with the maintenance team to repair or replace machinery parts; troubleshoot malfunctions; support the maintenance team on projects; perform building maintenance and other maintenance tasks as required.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain production and packaging equipment such as extruders, adhesive applicators, ink jet printers, vacuum conveying systems, material dryers, clutch brake cutters, bandsaws, laminators including mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Operate machine shop tools such as lathes, drill presses, milling machines to fabricate and modify parts required during overhaul, maintenance, and set-up of machinery.
  • Fabricate and assemble machinery and equipment using hand and power tools.
  • Support equipment reliability and uptime through completion of routine preventive maintenance.
  • Perform general welding repairs when required.
  • Document PM findings, repairs, process adjustments, equipment defects and part usage within work order.
  • Provide timely response to equipment breakdown and process failures, adjust machinery, and repair or replace defective mechanical parts as required.
  • Optimize equipment safety, efficiency, and reliability, participating in continuous improvement projects and completing work orders according to PM schedules.
  • Ensure that the work area is always clean of debris and hazards and check work area for such hazards upon arrival and when departing each area of work.
  • Work in a safe manner in accordance with legislated and company health and safety standards. Must follow plant lock-out procedures during repair or servicing.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
What You Should Have, as a Millwright:
  • Red Seal Millwright License (433a),
  • Proven track record working with mechanics, machine shop practices (lathe & milling machines), welding (ARC, TIG, MIG), and pneumatic & hydraulic fields is required.
  • Must be able to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings.
  • Strong technical, planning and troubleshooting skills with proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical and process related issues to root-cause.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.

  • The ideal candidate should be mechanically inclined and have experience working within a manufacturing environment.
In Return, You Will Receive:
  • $40/hr to start - $$43 after training
The Schedule You Will be Working Is:
  • Monday – Friday
  • 2pm - 1030pm
