General Labourer (Modular Manufacturing) (Temporary to Permanent)

What You Will Be Doing, as a General Labourer (Modular Manufacturing):
- Trades Support: Assisting skilled tradespeople (Carpenters, Plumbers, Electricians) with the manual assembly and construction of modular units.
- Material Handling: Safely loading, unloading, and moving materials like lumber, drywall, and insulation throughout the 240,000 sq. ft. facility.
- Site Maintenance: Maintaining a clean and hazard-free indoor workspace by removing debris and organizing tools.
- Tool Operation: Operating basic hand and power tools such as drills, saws, and grinders under the direction of the Service Department.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Should Have, as a General Labourer (Modular Manufacturing):
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar construction or manufacturing role preferred.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long durations, and perform repetitive manual tasks.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to production quality.
- Good verbal communication to coordinate with a large production team.
- Ability to follow complex verbal and written technical instructions.
- Reliability: Must have consistent attendance to meet strict assembly line schedules.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
In Return, You Will Receive:
- Pay Rate: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour (commensurate with experience).
- Indoor Work Environment: Protection from extreme weather while working in a state-of-the-art facility.
- Stability: Opportunity for permanent hire with a long-standing, family-owned Canadian company.
- Weekly Pay: Paid every Tuesday.
- Vacation: 4% vacation pay – accrued and paid out when you need it.
- Support: Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 11pm and on weekends.
The Shift You Will be Working is:
- Days: Monday to Friday.
- Timing: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
- Overtime: Occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
Where You Will Be Working, as a General Labourer (Modular Manufacturing):
- Main Intersection: 266 Street and Highway 627 (Acheson).
- Location Details: This location is not bus accessible; candidates must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license to reach the facility in Acheson.
