What You Will Be Doing, as a Framer / Modular Assembler:
- Structural Assembly: Performing wood framing tasks for modular units, including constructing walls, floors, and roof systems with precision and speed.
- Tool Operation: expertly operating pneumatic nail guns, circular saws, reciprocating saws, drills, and other framing tools to cut and assemble lumber to specifications.
- Material Handling: Safely loading, unloading, and moving lumber, plywood, drywall, and insulation throughout the 240,000 sq. ft. facility to support production lines.
- Site Maintenance: Maintaining a clean and hazard-free indoor workspace by managing debris and keeping tools organized.
- Collaboration: Working alongside skilled tradespeople (Carpenters, Electricians, Plumbers) to ensure structural integrity and meet production timelines.
What You Should Have, as a Framer / Modular Assembler:
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of proven experience in framing (wood construction), carpentry, or a similar skilled manufacturing role.
- Technical Skills: Competency in measuring, cutting, and fastening wood materials accurately. Ability to follow complex verbal and written technical instructions or basic shop drawings.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long durations, and perform repetitive manual tasks required for framing.
- Reliability: Must have consistent attendance to meet strict assembly line schedules.
- CSTS and WHMIS Certificates
In Return, You Will Receive:
- Pay Rate: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour (commensurate with experience).
- Indoor Work Environment: Protection from extreme weather while working in a state-of-the-art facility.
- Stability: Opportunity for permanent hire with a long-standing, family-owned Canadian company.
- Weekly Pay: Paid every Tuesday.
- Vacation: 4% vacation pay – accrued and paid out when you need it.
- Support: Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 11pm and on weekends.
The Shift You Will be Working is:
- Days: Monday to Friday.
- Timing: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
- Overtime: Occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
Where You Will Be Working, as a Framer / Modular Assembler:
- Main Intersection: 266 Street and Highway 627 (Acheson).
- Location Details: This location is not bus accessible; candidates must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license to reach the facility in Acheson.
