What You Will Be Doing, as a Plumber:
- System Installation: Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems within modular units, including water distribution, drainage, and venting systems.
- Fixture & Component Assembly: Expertly fitting and joining pipes, installing sinks, toilets, water heaters, and various specialized fixtures to exact specifications.
- Rough-ins & Testing: Conducting pressure tests on systems to ensure leak-free integrity and compliance with Alberta Plumbing Codes.
- Blueprints & Layouts: Interpreting shop drawings and schematics to accurately layout piping routes within tight modular structural constraints.
- Collaboration: Working alongside skilled tradespeople (Carpenters, Electricians, Framers) to ensure project flow and meet production timelines.
- Site Maintenance: Maintaining a clean and hazard-free indoor workspace by managing debris and keeping tools organized.
What You Should Have, as a Plumber:
- Certification: Must be a Journeyman Plumber or a 4th Year Apprentice with a valid provincial trade ticket.
- Experience: Proven experience in residential or commercial plumbing; modular or manufacturing experience is considered a strong asset.
- Technical Skills: High competency in reading complex blueprints and following precise technical instructions.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces within modular chassis, and perform repetitive manual tasks.
- Safety & Compliance: Valid CSTS and WHMIS Certificates are required.
- Reliability: Must have consistent attendance to meet strict assembly line schedules.
In Return, You Will Receive:
- Pay Rate: $21.50 – $36.00 per hour (commensurate with experience).
- Indoor Work Environment: Protection from extreme weather while working in a state-of-the-art facility.
- Stability: Opportunity for permanent hire with a long-standing, family-owned Canadian company.
- Weekly Pay: Paid every Tuesday.
- Vacation: 4% vacation pay – accrued and paid out when you need it.
- Support: Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 11pm and on weekends.
The Shift You Will be Working is:
- Days: Monday to Friday.
- Timing: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
- Overtime: Occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
Where You Will Be Working, as a Plumber:
- Main Intersection: 266 Street and Highway 627 (Acheson).
- Location Details: This location is not bus accessible; candidates must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license to reach the facility in Acheson.
