RESEARCH PARTICIPANT (CASUAL ENGLISH AI STUDY) (Temporary/Day Position)
About Our Client
Our client is a leading production and data initiative specialist currently coordinating a large-scale project in Vancouver. They focus on gathering authentic human interaction data to help global technology partners develop artificial intelligence systems that communicate more naturally and effectively with everyday people.
What You Will Be Doing, as a RESEARCH PARTICIPANT :
As a Research Participant, you will join recorded, two-person natural conversations. Unlike a scripted role, we are looking for genuine, everyday interaction. Your "imperfect" conversation style—including pauses and natural back-and-forth—is exactly what makes this data valuable for AI research.
  • Participate in natural, unscripted conversations with a partner.
  • Follow basic session guidelines provided by the research team.
  • Engage in 4.5-hour recording sessions (up to a maximum of two sessions total).
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Should Have, as a RESEARCH PARTICIPANT :
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Comfortable holding a casual conversation with a stranger.
  • No beards, hats, or glasses permitted during recordings (contacts are acceptable).
  • Able to follow both verbal and written instructions accurately.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.

In Return, You Will Receive:
Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
  • Flexible shift options (mornings, evenings, weekdays, and weekends).
  • Paid weekly
  • 4% vacation pay – accrued and paid out when you need it.
  • Snacks and refreshments provided during your session.
  • Simple online signup and new easy self-scheduling options.
  • Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 11pm and on
  • weekends.

The Shift You Will be Working is:
  • Shifts are available throughout May 2026, seven days a week. Typical participation
  • involves two 4.5-hour shifts (approximately 9 hours total, including lunch/breaks).

Where You Will Be Working, as a RESEARCH PARTICIPANT :
  • Location: Central Vancouver. The site is easily accessible via public transit; a personal
  • vehicle is not required.
