Data Analyst (Finance) – Contract  
 
About Our Client
Our client is looking for an experienced Financial Data Analsyt for their natural gas company in Calgary. This is a contract position (6-12 months depending on experience and performance) but also has a chance of being extended based on business requirements at that time. 
 
What You Will Be Doing, as a Data Analyst (Finance):
 
  • Perform data entry, validation, and maintenance of finance trackers and logs.
  • Support invoice processing, including verification of documentation and coding accuracy.
  • Assist with purchase order (PO) and non-PO workflows and documentation tracking.
  • Support period-end close activities such as reconciliations and accrual support.
  • Prepare routine Excel-based reports and data extracts.
  • Maintain audit-ready supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve data issues.
 
What You Should Have, as a Data Analyst (Finance):
 
  • Post-secondary diploma in Accounting, Business, or Finance 
  • to 3 years of hands-on experience with finance data, reconciliations, and transactional processing.
  • Exposure to ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Familiarity with document management practices.
  • Incredible attention to detail 
  • Must have strong documentation and audit support practices.
  • Great English communication skills
 
In Return, You Will Receive:
 
  • $70K - $80K annually (dependent on experience and length of contract acceptance) 
  • Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 11pm and on weekends
 
The Shift You Will be Working is:
 
  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:00am to 4:00pm
