Forklift Operator (Temporary to Permanent)

What You Will Be Doing, as a Forklift Operator:
- Safely and efficiently operating various forklift equipment (e.g., Counterbalance, Reach, Cherry Picker) to move materials throughout the facility.
- Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing shipments from trailers and delivery trucks.
- Picking, staging, and preparing customer orders with high accuracy.
- Conducting daily pre-shift equipment inspections and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns immediately.
- Assisting with inventory counts, stock replenishment, and general warehouse organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Should Have, as a Forklift Operator:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar forklift operating or warehouse role.
- A valid Forklift License/Certification (prior experience with Reach, Counterbalance, or Order Picker is highly preferred).
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate order fulfillment and inventory tracking.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to follow verbal and written safety and operational instructions.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
In Return, You Will Receive:
- Pay Rate: Up to $27.00 per hour (depending on experience, shift, and specific client placement).
- Flexible work schedule – lots of overtime available.
- Paid weekly
- Excellent opportunity for permanent hire.
- 4% vacation pay – accrued and paid out when you need it.
- Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 11pm and on weekends.
The Shift You Will be Working is:
- Days/Times: Varies (Day, Afternoon, and Night shifts are available to fit your lifestyle).
- Details: Flexible shift options. Overtime opportunities and weekend shifts may be required depending on the client's busy periods.
Where You Will Be Working, as a Forklift Operator:
- Location: Major industrial corridors and logistics hubs in Edmonton or Calgary.
- Accessibility: Location accessibility varies by specific placement. Some locations are easily bus/transit-accessible, while others may require a personal vehicle. Your recruiter will match you with a location that fits your commute!
