Property Maintenance Crew Member – Temporary to Permanent

Our client is searching for an experienced landscaping maintenance crew member, to assist at their different client sites in Hamilton and surrounding areas! If you are flexible with hours, have your own reliable vehicle and love property maintenance, this is for you! 

What You Will Be Doing as a Property Maintenance Crew Member:
  • Load and secure all necessary tools and equipment onto the truck and/or trailer using proper safety methods (ratchet straps, bungee cords, etc.). 
  • Safely and effectively landscaping machinery, including trimmers, push mowers, zero-turn mowers, blowers, hedge trimmers, and hand tools. Report any equipment issues immediately. 
  • Perform mowing, trimming, blowing, edging, mulching, planting, shrub/tree trimming, and seasonal spring and fall clean-ups as required. 
  • Follow the company’s Health and Safety program and policies. Wear and properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. 
  • Represent the company professionally, adhering to company policies and interacting respectfully with clients and team members. 
  • Relay all customer questions, concerns, or requests to the Crew Leader or Maintenance Manager. 
  • Attend all required training sessions, courses, and health and safety sessions. 
  • Other duties as required
What You Should Have, as a Construction Labourer:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years similar experience 
  • Must have your own reliable vehicle to get to their Jerseyville head office (not bus accessible)
  • Must be comfortable traveling with the company vehicle/team up to 50% of your day. You will travel to Hamilton and surrounding areas (between job sites).
  • Must be able to work in extreme conditions (sun, rain, snow, etc).
  • Commitment to doing quality work while putting safety first
  • CSA Approved Safety shoes and hard hat and reflective vest
 
In Return, You Will Receive:
  • $21.00 per hour
  • Opportunity to be hired permanently
  • 4% vacation pay accrued
 
The Shift You Will be Working is:
  • Monday to Friday
  • 7:00am shift start at head office in Jerseyville
  • Shifts are approximately 8 – 10 hours long and you must be able to be flexible to stay until the work is completed.
